Spacious rooms at Kisuhotelli
All cats stay in their own private room, with approximately 4 m² of floor space and a ceiling height of about 2.5 metres.
Each room features a large private window overlooking the outdoor run and the surrounding residential yard. Every room is equipped with climbing structures and activity features,
a rug to create a cozy, home-like feeling and provide perfect hiding spots for toys, as well as a soft armchair for comfortable daytime naps.
The Kisuhotelli building is completely new and was purpose-built specifically for our cat hotel.
Outdoor Time for Cats at Kisuhotelli
All cats have their own private outdoor enclosure connected directly to their room, ranging in size from approximately 4 to 11 m². The outdoor space has a height of over 3 metres. Cats are free to enjoy their outdoor area at their own pace.
The outdoor enclosure is accessible directly from the cat’s private room from early morning until late evening. At night, cats are brought indoors (24-hour outdoor access can be arranged separately, for example for cats accustomed to toileting outdoors).
Two walls of the outdoor run are made of wood to prevent direct visual contact with neighbouring runs, while one wall is mesh, allowing views into the surrounding residential yard.
The yard is lively with nature — small birds are frequent visitors, and occasionally rabbits can be seen. In spring, even pheasants may wander by. Birdhouses and other bird-attracting elements have been placed within sight of the outdoor runs, giving cats plenty of interesting activity to watch.
Like the indoor rooms, the outdoor runs include climbing structures, hiding spots, and greenery designed to mimic elements of a natural environment.
Cats can move freely between indoor and outdoor spaces during access hours. On rainy days, it may be more appealing to relax indoors by the window in the warmth instead.
A Safe Cat Hotel
Kisuhotelli is located within the grounds of our private home, allowing us to ensure the cats’ safety around the clock. In addition, both indoor and outdoor areas are equipped with surveillance cameras to support the wellbeing and security of our feline guests.
The building is locked and the outdoor enclosures are accessible only from inside the building.
Cleanliness and Hygiene at Kisuhotelli
After each feline guest, the room is cleaned, bedding and cushions are replaced with fresh ones, and litter boxes and other surfaces are carefully disinfected. This ensures that your cat always begins their stay in a clean and hygienic room.

Kisuhotelli offers plenty of activities for cats.
At Kisuhotelli, we place great emphasis on enrichment to ensure that our cat guests truly enjoy their stay with us.
The rooms are equipped from floor to ceiling with a variety of climbing structures and activity features. In addition, every room includes a wide selection of toys, and we entertain our guests daily with interactive games and treat-based enrichment activities.
All rooms at Kisuhotelli have a large window facing the outdoor run, allowing cats to watch the many birds that frequently visit the yard. In front of each window, we have placed a soft and comfortable bed — perfect for luxury-level bird watching.
Each room also provides access to a private outdoor run.
Like the indoor areas, the outdoor runs are equipped from ground to ceiling with climbing structures, enrichment elements, greenery, and excellent hiding spots.
From the outdoor run, cats can observe the surrounding yard, where there is plenty of activity and visiting birds to admire.
Privacy
There is no direct line of sight between feline guests, either indoors or outdoors.
All rooms and outdoor runs at Kisuhotelli include excellent private hiding spots where cats can retreat and enjoy their own space whenever they wish.

Cats’ Wellbeing at Kisuhotelli
Wellbeing and Health
We require all feline guests to have valid vaccinations, and we maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding contagious diseases.
In the unlikely event of sudden illness, veterinary services are located nearby.
Feeding and Nutrition at Kisuhotelli
On holiday, you should eat well.
Taking each cat’s eating habits into account, meals are served twice a day at Kisuhotelli — and more often if needed. Dry food is also available at all times, if it suits your cat’s normal feeding routine. Fresh, clean water is always available in your cat’s private room.
Food and treats are included in the price of the hotel stay.
The Caregivers at Kisuhotelli
Experienced Cat Care
Miia at Kisuhotelli has nearly 30 years of experience with cats, ensuring that your cat will receive knowledgeable and competent care.
She has experience in caring for cats with special needs, including diabetic cats, and many years of living with multiple cats have brought a wide range of practical knowledge and situations along the way.
There are regularly three caregivers and play companions attending to the cats, and when needed, additional experienced staff are available to provide the best possible care at Kisuhotelli.
The Kisuhotelli Building and Opening Hours
The Kisuhotelli Building
The Kisuhotelli building is brand new and will be completed in time for the summer season by 1 June 2026.
The facility accommodates 5–7 cats. The room sizes and level of equipment are intentionally of an exceptionally high standard compared to other cat hotels. In addition, every feline guest has access to their own private outdoor run.
The building materials used at Kisuhotelli are the same as those used in residential homes designed for people.
Kisuhotelli is located within the grounds of a private detached house, providing a calm and secure environment for our guests.
Kisuhotelli Opening Hours
Kisuhotelli does not have fixed opening hours. We receive and hand over cats by prior appointment only.
Please remember to agree on a specific time with us for both arrival and pick-up.
Kisuhotelli is not open to the public, and outside visitors are not permitted to come and view or interact with the cats. It is important that our feline guests are given a peaceful and relaxing holiday environment.
Kisuhotelli is located on private property, and access to the area without permission is strictly prohibited.

Instructions Before Bringing Your Cat to Kisuhotelli
Before bringing your cat to Kisuhotelli for boarding, it is important to ensure that all required preparations have been completed well in advance. This helps guarantee that your cat’s stay will be safe and as stress-free as possible.
🩺 Health and Vaccinations
Your cat must be healthy and have valid vaccinations in accordance with your veterinarian’s vaccination schedule.
Cats with contagious diseases or symptoms, such as respiratory infections or other illnesses, cannot be admitted for boarding at Kisuhotelli.
🐾 Spaying / Neutering
Cats coming for boarding must be spayed or neutered before the start of their stay.
🧴 Parasite Treatment and Tick Check
Outdoor cats in particular must be dewormed and checked for ticks before arrival.

Please ensure that the information provided at the time of booking is complete and up to date (for example: diet, allergies, medication, and any other special requirements).
Arrival for Boarding
🕒Arrival Time Must Be Agreed in Advance
Cat can be brought to Kisuhotelli on the first day of the reservation after 3:00 PM. The exact arrival time must always be agreed in advance.
This ensures a calm welcome and that our staff is present to receive your cat properly.
🚗 Arriving at Kisuhotelli
Please arrive at the agreed time. If there are any changes to your schedule, kindly inform us as soon as possible. This helps us arrange the reception smoothly.
🧳 What to Bring
When bringing your cat for boarding, please bring a valid vaccination record.
You may also bring a familiar blanket, bed, or toy to help your cat settle in more comfortably.
📩 Would You Like Updates During the Stay?
If you wish, we can send you updates about your cat during their stay. We will ask about your preference approximately two weeks before the boarding period begins. Please let us know your wishes so we can accommodate them during the stay.

At Kisuhotelli, every cat has their own private room where they can relax without direct visual contact with other feline guests. Having a personal space helps your cat feel safe and reduces stress in a new environment.
🌿 Outdoor Access in a Familiar Rhythm
Each room at Kisuhotelli includes its own private outdoor run. For cats used to outdoor access, the opportunity to enjoy safe outdoor time during their stay helps maintain their normal daily rhythm and makes adaptation easier.
For cats not accustomed to outdoor access, the outdoor run offers new and enriching experiences to explore at their own pace.
🍽️ Tasty Food and Familiar Routines
Approximately two weeks before arrival, we will ask about your cat’s feeding habits and other routines. When diet, feeding times, and daily habits remain as similar as possible to those at home, your cat’s stay feels more familiar and stress is reduced.
🧸 Familiar Scents from Home
A familiar blanket, bed, or toy brings comforting scents from home and helps your cat relax in a new setting. Small familiar items can make a big difference in how quickly a cat settles in.
🐾 Individual Attention
Every cat is unique. Some adapt quickly, while others need a little more time. We monitor each cat’s wellbeing and behaviour daily and take individual needs into account throughout the entire stay.

Each cat has their own private room, with no visual contact or interaction with other cat guests. Separate boarding spaces support both safety and a calm, stress-free environment.
🧼 Regular Cleaning and Hygiene
The facilities are cleaned thoroughly and regularly. Litter boxes are cleaned daily, and surfaces are properly cleaned and disinfected between boarding stays. This ensures a hygienic and healthy environment for every cat.
🐾 Daily Monitoring
Each cat’s wellbeing and behaviour are monitored daily, multiple times a day. If any changes in health or behaviour are observed, we act promptly and contact the owner if necessary.
Who Is Kisuhotelli Suitable For?
🐱 Outdoor Cats
Kisuhotelli is an excellent choice for cats that are used to outdoor access, as every room includes a private and secure outdoor run. This allows outdoor cats to maintain their familiar daily rhythm during their stay.
🏠 Indoor Cats
A private and peaceful room provides a safe and stress-free environment for indoor cats as well. Separate boarding spaces reduce disturbances and support overall wellbeing. Outdoor access at Kisuhotelli is completely optional.
👨👩👧👦 Multi-Cat Households
Cats from the same household can often be accommodated together upon the owner’s request. This is particularly suitable for cats that are accustomed to living together. The second and third cat from the same household receive a generous discount. Please see our price list for details.
✈️ Holidays and Business Trips
Kisuhotelli in Vantaa is suitable for both short and long stays — whether for a holiday, weekend trip, or business travel. Our location approximately 15 minutes from Helsinki Airport makes drop-off and pick-up convenient when travelling by air.

Pick-Up After the Boarding Period
🕒 Pick-Up Time Must Be Agreed in Advance
The pick-up time must be arranged in advance to ensure a smooth handover. Pick-ups take place only at the agreed time, as the facility is not open without a scheduled appointment.
🧾 Review of the Stay
At pick-up, we will briefly go through how your cat’s stay has gone. You will receive information about your cat’s wellbeing, eating habits, and general behaviour during the boarding period.
💳 Possible Additional Services
If any additional services or changes were included during the stay, they will be reviewed at pick-up. Any extra charges arise only from unexpected situations, such as sudden illness or disputes between cats from the same household.

🐾 A Calm Return Home
After the boarding period, your cat may need a little time to settle back in at home. We recommend allowing your cat to rest and return to their normal routine peacefully.

Story of Kisuhotelli
Behind Kisuhotelli is an ordinary family of three people and two cats.
The idea of founding Kisuhotelli began from our own need to find high-quality care for our furry family members — a place that would allow us to go on holiday with genuine peace of mind.
For us, it was never an option to leave our own pets in a small boarding room of just a few square metres without a window, possibly within sight of other cats they might find stressful. We know what it feels like when guilt about a boarding place overshadows your own holiday.
That is how the idea was born: what if we created a place where cats could truly enjoy their own holiday — so their owners could relax without worry? How wonderful would it be to leave for your trip knowing that your beloved companion is having an enriching, comfortable and stimulating stay? Kisuhotelli was developed with one clear principle: we wanted to build a boarding facility where we would confidently and happily leave our own cats, Musta and Morris.
We had the opportunity to build Kisuhotelli in the yard of our own detached home in Vantaa and to offer each feline guest their own private outdoor run. This was not our first construction project, and we intentionally designed the rooms to be spacious — even though it meant accommodating fewer cats.
Our goal was never maximum capacity. Our goal was responsible, feel-good, high-quality cat boarding.
At Kisuhotelli, our strategy is simple: to provide exceptional care for cats while their owners are away.
